Switching features on
Many features are built in but switched off until you need them. Here's where the switches are and what to check first.
Before you start
Only the shop owner can change the switches. Managers and admins can see them, and the audit log shows who changed what.
Turn one on
- 1
Open Feature flags
Go to Settings, then Feature flags.
AdminthenSettingsthenFeature flags - 2
Find the switch
Each switch is listed by its code name, such as
catalogVariantImages, with a short description beside it. They're grouped into Selling, Growth, Operations, Catalogue, Storefront and Platform. Tick Built but off to see only the ones you haven't turned on.Feature flags lists each switch by its code name. Turning one on takes effect straight away. - 3
Turn it on
Flip the switch. It works straight away, with no save button. If the switch comes with a Heads up, you're asked to confirm first.
If a switch won't turn on
- Blocked: the switch needs something set up first, such as payment keys or a delivery slot. The note under it says what's missing and links to the page where you fix it. If it says to set something on the deployment, ask whoever looks after your server.
- Locked: a few switches, such as
checkoutandmultiCurrency, change how money is taken, so they're set when the shop is created, not here.
